Description

Dale House is a two-storey brick villa dating from around 1840 to 1850. It has a low-hipped slate roof with a central chimney stack featuring broad, battered terracotta chimney pots. The front of the house has two two-storey canted brick bays that project through the flat eaves, each topped with rendered cornices and blocking courses. Each bay contains three windows on each floor, which are set within rendered surrounds and lack glazing bars. A framed rendered panel with a blank shield is positioned at the centre of the first floor. The front door is a three-panel design with a rectangular fanlight above, and is sheltered by a tent-roofed porch with scrolled cast iron trelliswork that spans the space between the canted bays.
