Description

The Hermitage is a two-storey villa built around 1830, located on Crane Bridge Road. It is constructed of white brick and features a band between the storeys. The villa has a low-pitched hipped slate roof with flat eaves and a symmetrical front. On the first floor, there are three windows, while the ground floor has two, all of which are recessed sashes with intact glazing bars and flat gauged brick arches. The central entrance consists of a six-panel door set within an architrave surround. The porch is supported by square-section Doric columns and has a modified entablature, along with glazed sidelights. Originally, the property had cast iron gates and railings, which have since been removed.
