Description
Hill Street Cottage is a detached cottage dating from the late 17th century. It is constructed of dressed limestone with a tiled roof and brick stacks. The building has an L-shaped plan and features a gable end facing the road. The north front is two stories high with four windows. It has a planked door, two 2-light casements to the left, and one 2-light casement to the right. The first floor contains four 2-light casements. The right side of the cottage has a single casement on the first floor. At the rear, there is a 2-light recessed chamfered mullioned casement, a 2-light casement, and a chamfered stone doorcase with a planked door on the ground floor. The first floor features a 2-light mullioned casement and a 2-light wooden casement. The rear wing to the right includes 2-light mullioned casements and a single chamfered light at the gable end. The interior has not been inspected.
