Description

Whitehill Cottage is a detached cottage dating from around 1700. It is constructed of dressed limestone with a concrete tiled roof and gable end brick stacks. The cottage is two storeys high and has a two-window front. A central planked door, fitted with strap hinges within a stone, chamfered surround, is flanked by a two-light recessed chamfered mullioned window to the left and a three-light recessed chamfered mullioned window to the right. Two two-light mullioned windows are on the first floor. The right return features a single chamfered window to the attic, along with an attached lean-to extension. At the rear, there are 20th-century casement windows, and a gabled dormer projects from the roof. A late 19th-century single-storey extension to the left has a single-roman tiled roof. The interior remains uninspected.
