Description

Sixpenny Thatch is a cottage located at the end of a row in Chilmark, dating from the 18th century and altered in the 20th century. It is constructed of uncoursed dressed limestone and features a thatched roof with a brick stack. The building is two stories high and has two windows. A 20th-century door is set in a recessed porch on the left side, while the right side has a three-light steel casement window. On the first floor, there are two windows: one is a two-light steel casement and the other is a three-light steel casement. The rear of the cottage also has steel casements. The interior has not been inspected. This building is included in the register primarily for its group value.
