Description

Milestone located at the corner of Mud Lane, dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century. It is made of limestone and features a triangular shaft with convex sides that returns to a square shape at the base. The milestone has an incised inscription, which reads "TO CRICKLADE 5 Miles" on the left side and "TO WOOTTON BASSETT, 3 Miles" on the right side.
