Description
The granary at Lower Yalberton Farm, built around the 1830s, is a two-storey structure located over an implement shed. It is part of a planned farmyard and is situated to the rear of the farmhouse, with access to the first floor from the north side via steps that lead down to the yard. The building features roughcast walls and a Roman tile roof, with a hipped slate roof on top. The north side includes a doorway leading to the first floor and a shuttered window to the right. The right side has a segmental-headed window on the ground floor, while the left side features a single barred window. The rear elevation has a doorway and two slit windows facing the yard, adjacent to another outbuilding that is positioned at right angles to the farmhouse. The granary is included for its historic and group value alongside other contemporary buildings in the two yards.
