Description
The shippon, which is currently used as kennels, dates back to the 1830s and is part of the planned farmyard at Lower Yalberton Farm. Constructed from local grey limestone rubble, it features a slate roof and forms the northern side of the higher yard in a split-level double courtyard farmyard. The building is one storey high with a loft. On the southern side, which faces the yard, there are five segmental-headed doorways. The left return of the building includes a single doorway and a loft doorway that opens onto the entrance route into the higher yard. The interior has not been inspected.
