Description
The shippon at Lower Green Farm, located on the east side of the farmyard, is an early 19th-century building, dating from the late Georgian period. This two-storey structure features squared coursed rubble made from local sandstone up to the first floor, with brown English garden wall bond above. The roof is covered with grey Welsh slate, characterized by flush gables and simple eaves. The building has simple rectangular windows and a doorway leading to the cowshed, as well as five circular pitch-holes with shaped sandstone cills that provide access to the hayloft.
