Description

Lower Green Farmhouse is an early 19th-century, late Georgian farmhouse located in The Square, Ellesmere Port & Neston. The building is two stories tall and features three bays of brown Flemish bond brickwork, topped with a gabled grey Welsh slate roof. It has 30-pane iron windows, each with small inset opening casements. The doorway is adorned with a semi-circular fanlight, although the glazing bars have been removed. The windows have stone cills and painted stone lintels, and the front door is ledged and battened. There are no notable interior features remaining. The farmhouse is complemented by a simple squared coursed local sandstone rubble wall that encloses the garden.
