Description

Westlecot Manor is a manor house dating back to 1589, with later additions. It is constructed from coursed limestone rubble and has a 20th-century tiled roof, half-hipped with dormers. Brick stacks are present, with a central stack featuring diamond-set shafts. The house is two storeys high with attics and a cellar at the south end. It has a four-bay front, with an entrance in the forward wing and two rear wings, one added in 1926. The windows are stone mullioned, largely restored with relieving arches above, and retain their mullions. A lateral open porch is located to the side of the forward wing, featuring a label moulding and diamond set stops. The lintel above the porch has simple triglyphs and guttae. A date stone on the right gable is marked with the year 1589 and the initials "T.G." (Thomas Goddard). The interior is reportedly largely from the 1930s.
