Description

The Lodge is a 18th-century, altered, two and a half storey thatched cottage located in Wroughton at The Pitchens. It is constructed of painted rubble and features two windows with four lights on the first floor and three on the ground floor, both with casements. The thatch has been cut away over the first floor windows, and the ground floor windows are fitted with shutters. There is a central thatched closed porch and gable end chimneys. To the right, there is a one storey thatched extension. The property is adjacent to the drive leading up to Warleigh, which has entrance gate piers made of ashlar from the mid-19th century, with one retaining a ball finial.
