Description

Portway Cottage is an 18th-century cottage constructed from roughcast stone rubble, topped with a thatched roof that features stone coping at the gable ends. The building stands two storeys high and has a three-window range, with sash windows and a small casement window in the centre of the first floor. The ground floor includes a modern thatched porch and a modern single-storey lean-to extension on the left side. There are brick chimney stacks at both gable ends, and a modern flat-roofed extension is located at the rear. The cottage is positioned at right angles to the road.
