Description

Woodham House is an early to mid-19th century stucco villa with a slate roof. The main part of the house has three windows, featuring tripartite glazing bar sash windows with bracketed cornices on the first floor. There are two angled bays with cornices and blocking courses. Moulded brackets support the moulded eaves cornice, and gable end brick chimneys are present. A central six-panel door is set within a wide, pedimented doorpiece, incorporating fluted pilasters and an open pediment. This doorpiece is surmounted by a wide segmental radiating and wreathed fanlight, and is accompanied by side lights. A lower, two-storey staff wing extends to the right, with three windows on the first floor and two on the ground floor, and a moulded eaves cornice with brackets flanking the windows. A two-storey later wing is set at an angle to the left. At the rear, the central part features an ashlar band over the ground floor and an ashlar coping, with a rounded corner to the right. A low stone boundary wall runs along the road.
