Description

Dated 1768, these may be remodelled cottages. Numbers 2 and 3 are thatched cottages, with number 2 slightly lower than number 3. They have two gable end brick chimneys. The walls are mostly painted rubble. Number 2 has a range of three casement windows, and an eyebrow dormer to the attic; a further eyebrow dormer and a modern projection with a door are at the rear. Number 3 is two storeys high, with a brick upper floor, two-light casement windows with glazing bars on the first floor, and a lean-to porch and a window with a cambered head on the ground floor. A later extension exists to the right. A stone tablet within the brick chimney on the right displays "N.W.B." (likely referring to Buckland) over the date 1768.
