Description

The stables and barn located behind the Estate Office and Village Hall were built in the early 19th century. They are constructed of rubble and coursed squared rubble with freestone dressings, topped with a Cotswold stone slate roof. The northern range consists of nine stables, each featuring single two-light casement windows and stable doors. There is an additional range of three stables to the east and west. To the south, there is a barn that has been altered, with stone steps leading up to a loft on the first floor. These stables were formerly associated with the Old Portcullis Hotel.
