Description

The farm offices and estate yard, which include a saw mill and Weighbridge Cottage, date from the mid-19th century. The farm offices, previously workshops, face the road and are constructed of rubble with a Cotswold stone slate roof and ashlar stacks. They are single storey with attics accessed through hipped dormers at the rear, featuring four 2- and 4-light casement windows and four plank doors. To the right and rear is the saw mill, which has boarded walls and a roof made of slate and double Roman tiles, large sliding doors, a rear wing, and a square tower topped with an open octagonal timber bellcote under a slate roof. Behind the offices and saw mill are three ranges of single storey sheds made of rubble, all with Cotswold stone slate roofs, enclosing the estate yard.

The west range begins with Weighbridge Cottage, built of coursed squared rubble and featuring a Cotswold stone slate roof with plain bargeboards and a central ashlar stack. This single storey building has attics in two gabled dormers and 2-light leaded casement windows. Adjoining the cottage is a shed with eight open bays, followed by a projecting gabled cartshed, and then a range of eight bays with a central gabled opening, all equipped with plank doors. The south range consists of eight bays with a gabled projecting entry to the left, which has a segmental headed doorway. The east range features seven open bays and a series of closed sheds that connect back to the farm offices, with stables located on the east side.
