Description
At the south end of Kennel Drive in Badminton, there are walls, gates, gate piers, and railings dating from the mid to late 19th century. The walls are low and made of coped, coursed squared rubble and ashlar. There are two outer sets of pedestrian gate piers, which are square and made of ashlar, featuring cornices and ball finials. The inner set of gate piers is taller and panelled, also with cornices and topped with iron lanterns. The gates and railings are made of simple cast iron, adorned with spear finials and a Beaufort portcullis design.
