Description
This listing describes a pair of estate houses located immediately to the west of the Almshouses in Badminton. They were built in the early 18th century and are rendered with a hipped Cotswold stone slate roof and a central ashlar stack. The houses are two storeys high and consist of seven bays, featuring 2-light cross windows with lead cames and iron casement stays, along with one 3-light window on the ground floor to the left and three blocked windows on the first floor. There are plank doors at either end, each sheltered by a flat stone hood supported by brackets, and a blocked door in the center. The property is enclosed by low coped, coursed squared rubble boundary walls. These houses are plain examples of the Queen Anne style and are situated on an important village street.
