Description

The Rose and Crown is a public house built around 1840. It features rubble construction with roughcast at the front, slate roofs, and brick stacks. The building has two storeys and three windows, with sash windows on the first floor. On the ground floor, there are tri-partite mullion sashes that flank a round arched entrance. This entrance has a plain architrave decorated with impost blocks and a keystone, with a fanlight above the storm doors. To the left (north) is a hipped 20th-century toilet block, and there is a catslide extension at the rear.
