Description

This barn, located 20 yards south of Lower Shire Hill Farmhouse, dates from the early to mid-19th century. It is constructed of rubble and features a slate roof with coped raised verges. The barn has opposed entries that are sheltered by lean-to porches, and there is a lean-to extension on the left side under a catslide roof. Slit vents are present, and the interior includes a tie-beam truss roof with seven bays. The barn is included in the listing for its group value.
