Description
The wall surrounding the garden, located about 58 metres east of Tracy Park, is approximately 3.5 metres high and encloses about one acre of what was once a kitchen garden. It dates from the late 18th century to early 19th century and is constructed of coursed rubble, with some brick elements. The wall features curved corners to the north, a plain capping, and occasional large rubble buttresses that have two set-offs. There are segmental-headed openings to the east and west, with 20th-century wrought iron gates located to the west. At the time of the survey in September 1984, part of the wall had been demolished at the northwest for a new entry and it was noted to be in poor condition.
