Description
St. Swithin's Lodge is a lodge built around 1840, with 20th-century additions. It is constructed of rubble with ashlar dressings and features hipped slate roofs, an ashlar stack with coping and a brick top. The building has a square plan and is a single storey high, with four windows arranged in a 2 x 2 configuration. All windows are two-light, pointed arch style with leaded lights. The central porch has a panelled door with upper margin glazing set in a pointed arched opening, flanked by pointed arched windows on each side. The lodge has an ashlar plinth and quoins, and a plain wooden eaves cornice, with a 20th-century extension at the rear. It forms a group with St. Swithin's Farmhouse.
