Description
This building is a barn and stable/outbuilding located 25 yards to the west of Springs Farmhouse in Marshfield. It dates from the early to mid-19th century and is constructed of rubble with freestone dressings. The roof is made of Cotswold stone slate and features coped raised verges. The barn has opposed lean-to porches and includes a lower two-storey section to the south, along with a later 19th-century lean-to at the front. It likely consists of five or seven bays. The stables, which have a pigeon loft above, are situated five yards to the east of the barn and include nesting boxes in the west gable and a plank door on the ground floor.
