Description
The stables, coach house, barn, and outbuildings located to the north of Marshfield House date from the late 17th century for the stables and coach house, and from the late 18th to early 19th century for the barn and outbuildings. The stables and coach house are built of coursed rubble with a Cotswold stone slate roof. They are single storey with a loft and feature two coped stone gables with saddle stones. There are two cross windows beneath a continuous string course and a carriage entry on the left with a flat segmental head and keystone. The gables have large keyed oval windows. The barn is also constructed of rubble and has a Cotswold stone slate roof, consisting of five bays with a Queen post truss roof and a square-headed carriage entry to the north. To the north-west of the barn, there are two attached stables made of rubble with a pantile roof, featuring two plank doors with lattice heads, along with a low pigsty adjoining.
