Description
The Old Inn is a coaching inn that has been converted into a house. It dates from the early 18th century and underwent alterations in the late 18th and 19th centuries. The building features ashlar and coursed squared rubble with Cotswold stone slate roofs that have coped raised verges and a moulded eaves cornice. It is two storeys high, with cellars and attics accessed through a dormer on the right side.
The facade has two sets of two bays. On the left side, there are end quoins and a plain band above the ground floor. A two-storey canted bay window with glazing bar sashes is present, along with a single glazing bar sash window to the right, which is situated above a wide 20th-century door that has a fanlight and a plain stone arched surround with a keystone. A wrought iron sign bracket projects from this side. On the right side, there are glazing bar sash windows, with 16 panes on the ground floor and thick bars with plain stone surrounds on the first floor. The return elevation facing Church Lane has four glazing bar sash windows beneath a cornice on the first floor.
