Description
This building is a barn located about 35 metres south of Kendleshire Court Farmhouse. It dates from the mid-18th century and has had some alterations in the 20th century. The barn is constructed from pennant rubble and features double Roman tiled roofs that are hipped to the north. It has an E-plan layout with a slightly later waggon shed attached to the north side.
The north elevation includes three waggon entries with cambered heads and a central gable that has a loading door. The right side of the barn has stone tabling, likely from a former lean-to, and a small opening under the eaves to the left, with a buttress to the right. The left side features two cambered archways at the lower ground floor and a lean-to with a corrugated asbestos roof. The rear of the barn has two wings, each with a loading door in the gable end, and the space between the wings is roofed, creating three gables, with the central gable being weatherboarded and having large double doors. The interior has not been inspected.
