Description

A farmhouse, likely dating to the 17th century, with later 17th-century additions, along with 19th and 20th-century alterations. The farmhouse is constructed of pennant rubble with a pantiled roof, featuring gable stacks and a double Roman tiled porch. Originally designed with a two-room plan and a through passage, it was later expanded to form a T-shape with additions to the front and rear of the left side.

The east front has a former central door, now with a glazed insertion in a plain frame under a timber lintel, and a modern lean-to porch. A two-light casement window is situated to the right, featuring chamfered mullions, iron stanchions, and a dripstone. A large projecting gable sits to the left, with a blocked window and a small blocked light at the upper right. A smaller gable to the right has a four-pane light and dripstone. Attached to the front left is a lower stable wing, retaining a timber lintel from a former door on the inner right side. A small gable above this wing contains a four-pane fixed light.

On the left return, a lower wing incorporates a stable door, with a small gable above featuring a loading door. To the left is a 20th-century two-light window with a timber lintel, and a three-light casement with chamfered wooden mullions, iron stanchions, and a decorative loop catch. A small gable above this has a two-light casement with a chamfered mullion and timber lintel, with a stack at the former gable end, indicating a straight joint to a rear addition to the left. The right return features an attached single-story addition with a nine-pane light in the gable end, and a lean-to attached to the front with a door and an unglazed window. A blocked window is at the rear.

The rear of the farmhouse contains a three-light casement with chamfered mullions and a timber lintel, with a small gable above containing a four-pane light. A porch is attached to the right, leading to the rear through passage. A rear wing to the right has a sixteen-pane sash window at ground floor and a six-pane sash window at first floor. The interior was not inspected.
