Description

Barton Cottage is a house dating from the 17th century, with extensions and new sash windows added in the 19th century. The exterior is roughcast with a roof covered in concrete tiles. The building has one and a half storeys and features two windows, all of which are glazing bar sashes. There is a central gabled porch that is accessed from the side, with a segmental headed inner pane window. The first-floor windows are designed to rise as gablets, and there are stacks at each end of the house. Inside, there are two chamfered beams with scroll stops and the position of a winder stair can be identified.
