Description

The Mayflower Sailing Club is a former warehouse that has been converted into a clubhouse, dating from the early 19th century. The building features white painted rubble with granite quoins, except for one side which is made of painted brick, and has a slate hipped roof. It has a rectangular plan and stands two storeys high with a three-window range. The windows are sashes with glazing bars. There is a 20th-century lean-to porch on the left side. The rear elevation, facing the harbour, has four ground-floor windows and additional windows above, with the central windows combined into one wide window. The interior has not been inspected. The building is included for its historical significance and group value.
