Description

No. 8 Woodside is a house in a row, now used as offices, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of stucco and features a roof behind a parapet with a moulded and beaded cornice. The building has two hipped roof dormers and a smaller dormer situated between them. It has a double-depth plan, likely consisting of two rooms at the front flanking a central entrance hall. The house is two storeys high plus an attic and has a symmetrical three-window front. The original hornless sash windows have glazing bars, with the first-floor sashes being taller. A central distyle Tuscan porch with a moulded entablature leads to a ten-panel door. The interior has not been inspected but is expected to be of interest.
