Description
No. 208 is a house that has been converted into offices, dating from the early 19th century. The building features a stuccoed facade with rustication on the ground floor. It has string courses above both the ground and first floors, and a cornice at the parapet that conceals the roof. The structure is three storeys tall with a basement and has a three-window front. The first-floor windows are glazing bar sashes set in arcaded recesses, with half-H aprons below them. The outer bays on the first floor have cast-iron window baskets, while the central window block is fitted with shutters. The central entrance is arched and includes a panelled door, an arched overlight, and panelled reveals. This entrance is framed by a Doric columned surround and an entablature hood that features a Greek key moulded frieze. Spearhead railings are positioned on either side of the entrance, enclosing the area.
