Description

This is a house, later used as an office, dating from the later 18th century. It is stuccoed and has a low-pitched slate roof with a distinctive modillioned eaves cornice. Rusticated quoins mark the corners. The building has three storeys and a basement, with a regular three-window front. The windows are sash windows without glazing bars, set within raised moulded surrounds. A central panelled door is contained within a moulded surround topped with a triangular pediment. Four steps lead up to the door, flying over an area protected by spear-head railings and vase-head standards that curve around the area itself. Two segment-headed casements are set into the area, and an anthemion boot-scraper is located to the right of the door. The interior features a two-flight return staircase with turned balusters, columnar newels, and a flat, ramped handrail. Dado panelling is also present.
