Description
Mendip View Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the mid-17th century, with later extensions. It is constructed of rendered rubble and features a pantile roof. The building has two storeys and five windows, plus one in a later extension on the left (west). There is an off-centre right plank door, and all the windows are 2-light glazing bar casements. The ground floor windows are very deep, while those on the upper floor are smaller, except for one on the right that rises as a flat roof eaves dormer. Inside, there are stop-chamfered beams, and the position of a winder stair can be found in a slightly projecting rear turret. In the main bedroom, there is a 4-centred arch opening and the remains of a fireplace.
