Description
The building is a gate lodge located to the south-west of Woodlands, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble and features a double Roman tile roof. The lodge has a T-shaped plan and is two storeys high, with a drive facade that includes three windows. The ground floor has top opening 9-pane windows, while the upper floor features two Gothick pointed-arched windows in gabled dormers, which have lozenge and Y tracery glazing. The east front has a door with similar Y tracery glazing, and there is a simple pointed-arched window on the west front. Surrounding the lodge is a lean-to loggia supported by tree-trunk piers on three sides. The roof is hipped, and there is a central brick stack.
