Description
Stanley Lodge and 2-16 Copse Road is a long row of mid to late 19th century cottages that turns the corner into Seavale Road. The buildings are two storeys high with rubble walls, featuring plain pilasters, cornices, and parapets. There is a stringcourse above the ground floor, and segmental arched recesses are found in alternate window bays. Most cottages have three windows, except for the end cottages which have only one. The windows have architrave surrounds and sill brackets, with triple lights on the ground floor. Number 12 has small shop windows, and the entrances are segmental headed with two-panel doors. Number 13 on Seavale Road is the end cottage on the right, with its main front facing south. This group of buildings is included for their collective significance.
