Description

This is a lodge, built in 1846. It is constructed from coursed rubble with flush dressed stone quoins, ashlar dressings, and a slate roof. The lodge follows a cruciform plan and is in an Italianate style. It features canted, tripartite, round-headed windows on both the drive side and the roadside, with marginal glazed sashes. The lodge has deep projecting eaves and tall, bracketed ashlar stacks. The interior has not been inspected. It was built as the lodge to Alburys, an Italianate villa located to the east-south-east.
