Description

Veronica Lodge is a house built in the 1790s for the Commanding Officer of The Garrison. It features colourwashed render over granite rubble and has a hipped slate roof with rendered end stacks. The building has a double-depth plan and stands two storeys high, with a symmetrical three-window range. A mid-20th century porch is located at the front, leading to a semi-circular arched doorway that has a decorative fanlight above a panelled door. The windows are horned 3/3-pane sashes. Although the interior has not been inspected, it is reported to have an original staircase and other features.
