Description

Blackwater Lodge is a house built in 1788-1789, with early 19th century elements and mid to late 19th century additions at the rear. It is a two-storey, three-bay structure, rendered and featuring tooled granite dressings. The central door is concealed by a later 19th century square porch that has a side entrance and a flat roof. The windows mainly have 12-pane glazing, and there are coped tooled granite end stacks. The roof is slate. The rear has various service wings that partially enclose a service area.

Inside, there is little of interest remaining. The garden area in front of the house is enclosed by drystone walls.
