Description

The lead cistern located to the north of the west door of the Church of St. Mary's is a water cistern dated 1727. It is made of lead and features a chamfered granite plinth. The cistern has a rectangular shape and is adorned with heraldic plaques and cartouches set in strapwork panels. The maker's mark on the north panel reads "HEZ WALKER LONDON." This cistern was moved to its current position from Star Castle.
