Description
Botany Farm House is a detached house that was formerly a farmhouse, dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century. It features rubble stone walls, some of which are plastered, and a tiled roof with stone eaves courses. The house has brick stacks at both ends and in the center, each with oversailing caps. It stands two storeys tall, with the north wall buttressed.
On the ground floor, there are six horizontally sliding sash windows with glazing bars, while the first floor has one similar window and three casements, also with glazing bars. The entrance is located on the south front, within a lean-to extension. The ground floor has four horizontally sliding sash windows with glazing bars, and the first floor has six similar windows. The main ground floor rooms feature large open fireplaces, one of which includes a bread oven. This house is an early post-Enclosure farmhouse and was under repair at the time of the survey.
