Description
41 Easton Street is a small house located in a row of buildings, dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century. It is constructed from large squared and coursed Portland stone and features an asbestos-cement roof. The house has two storeys and an attic, with a single window on the front. Above a three-light casement window with chamfered stone mullions and a flush cill, there is a gabled dormer with two lights, which is a 20th-century addition. To the right, there is a half-gable pent porch with stone cheeks that shelters a 19th-century panelled door. A stone stack, which is partly rendered, is located to the left and has a skirt and capping, while the right side has a plain return. This house is modest in appearance but has been less altered than many other properties in the street, representing an artisan dwelling on the island.
