Description
30 Easton Square is a late 18th-century house that is part of a row. It features a rendered and scribed exterior with a concrete tile roof. The building has two storeys and one window. The windows are modern casements, and to the right, there is a modern glazed door. At the back, there is a large flat-roofed addition that was added in the 20th century.
Inside, recent work in 1991 has revealed the remains of a bressumer fire, which includes a heavy cut-down wooden bressumer on a stone cheek to the left, and a timber prop to the right, with timbers that may come from an earlier roof structure. To the left of the fire, there is a tight wooden spiral staircase that leads up to the roof space, which has been completely restructured. The walls contain several deep recesses that may have been part of the original window openings. Additionally, on the left-hand party wall, there is a blind casement opening at both ground and first floor levels, set in a flush chamfered surround, which used to light No. 31. This house is included for its group value with other buildings in the area.
