Description

No. 26 Reforne is a house in a row, dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century. It is constructed of near ashlar stone with rendered returns and a rubble back wall, topped with a slate roof. The house features a symmetrical wide frontage of three storeys and has two windows, all of which are four-pane late 19th-century sashes. The central entrance consists of a part-glazed 20th-century door set within wooden cheeks. The building has a plinth, two horizontally-tooled string courses, and a vertically-tooled eaves course. The right-hand return includes a four-pane sash window. At the back, there is a lean-to with a door. The right side has a rendered stack and raised verge, while the left side features a brick stack. This house is part of a well-preserved group near Easton Square.
