Description

Wimborne United Reform Church, built in 1846, is designed in an early Gothic revival style. The church features rendered walls and a slate roof with a parapet at the gable. The main north front includes a central doorway with a two-centred arch set in a square frame. Above the doorway is a window adorned with flowing Gothic tracery. On either side of the entrance are octagonal buttresses that rise to form turrets, flanking a plain lancet window. The side elevations also have similar plain lancet windows. Surrounding the church is a boundary wall topped with iron railings that have spiked tops, along with brick gatepiers. The entrance features iron gates with an overthrow for a missing lantern.
