Description
50 and 52 West Borough are a pair of similar houses dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century. They feature roughcast rendered walls and slate roofs, with brick stacks. The buildings are two storeys high with attics.
No 50 has a ground floor that includes a four-panel door set within a timber porch that has a gabled roof supported by console brackets and moulded pilasters. There is a second door to the north of this entrance. The ground floor also has one double-hung sash window with glazing bars and a recent bay window with casements. On the first floor, there are two double-hung sash windows with glazing bars.
No 52 has a similar entrance but features a six-panel door. To the north of this door, there is a canted bay window with double-hung sashes and glazing bars, which is likely an addition. South of the door, there is one double-hung sash window with glazing bars, and the first floor has two similar windows. Each house includes one dormer in the attic, which has a slightly curved lead roof and side-hung casements.
