Description
Gulliver House is a late 18th-century building located on the west side of West Borough. It features brick walls and a brick dentil cornice at the eaves, topped by a tiled roof and brick stacks. The house is two storeys high, with a two-storeyed wing at the rear that appears to be contemporary with the main structure. The central entrance door is adorned with a fanlight that has "Gothic" style glazing, and it is sheltered by a broken pedimented hood supported by console brackets and moulded pilasters.
On the ground floor, there are two double-hung sash windows with segmental heads and glazing bars, while the first floor has three similar windows. A brick garden wall extends north from Gulliver House along School Lane. In School Lane, there is a brick coach house with brick walls and a tiled roof, which has one storey and an attic. It features a built-up opening to School Lane and one dormer that is now boarded up, likely built around the same time as the house. The interior of Gulliver House retains some raised panel doors and moulded cornices.
