Description
Lower Kingsland Farmhouse is a detached farmhouse that dates from the 17th century or earlier. It features cob walls that are rendered and has a thatched roof at the right gable end, with a brick stack located at the center of the ridge, added in the 20th century. The building is two storeys high and has three windows, which are three-light wooden casements with glazing bars and wooden cills. On the left side, there is a stone bay that extends forward. The central porch, dating from the 19th century, has brick walls, a stone gable coping, and a slate roof. A stone date tablet is reversed. Inside, the layout includes a lobby entrance plan with a staircase next to the fireplaces. There are two keeping-places located at the rear of the open fireplace, as well as a dairy with a cheese loft above it at the rear.
