Description

South Bowood Farmhouse is a detached farmhouse built in the early 19th century. It features red brick walls laid in Flemish bond and has a slate roof with stone gable copings. The building has rendered stacks at the gables and stands two storeys tall. The front facade includes three sash windows with glazing bars, each topped with well-crafted gauged-brick arch heads and stone cills. The central front door is panelled with panel reveals and is adorned with a semi-circular fanlight that also has glazing bars, dating back to the early 19th century. There is a pentice-roofed outshut that may be part of the original farmhouse structure.
