Description
South View House is a detached house dating from the 18th century, located on the north side of Dorchester Road in Tolpuddle. The building features plastered walls resting on a brick and stone base and has a thatched roof that is hipped at the left end. There are two brick chimneys, one at the right end and one left of centre. The house is two storeys tall and has a moulded panel door situated under a hipped tiled hood supported by brackets, flanked by timber pilasters. On the ground floor, there are three sash windows with glazing bars, and the first floor has four similar windows. At the right end of the house, there is a single-storey extension with a tiled roof that includes one casement window with glazing bars. Additionally, there is a two-storey rear wing at the left end, constructed in a matching style, along with a single-storey rear extension.
